Do I need a partner?

You don’t need a partner! But if you have a partner, great! Dave works with both singles, couples, small and large groups. He knows both the lead’s part and the follow’s part, so you’re all set.

 

Do I need experience?

Absolutely not! Dave will work with you at whatever level you are, and then build from there to get you to where you would like to be.

 

How much are group lessons?

Small group lessons, up to 6 people, are the same cost as regular lessons. Beyond 6 people, the price goes up $10 per person.

How many lessons to I need?

That really depends on you and what you would like to accomplish. Some people just was a few pointers or some feedback and take just a single lesson. Some people want to work toward a specific goal, such as a wedding dance or a show. Others work long-term to build their skills and increase their overall enjoyment of their dancing.

 

What should I wear to my dance lesson?

Comfortable shoes and comfortable clothes. You are welcome to dress up, but your comfort is key.

 

Do I need dance shoes?

Dance shoes are always a nice thing to have but not essential, especially when you’re first starting.

 

Where are the lessons held?

Dave works out of two studios, one in Medford and one in Ashland. For those that have the space, he also offers home visits.

 

Where is your Medford location?

4897 Santa Barbara Drive, Medford, OR 97504. The studio is located behind the main house and down the stone path. When you book your lesson, you will be given the gate code for access.

Where is your Ashland location?

235 Scenic Drive, Ashland, OR 97520. The dance space is in the main house. When you book your lesson, you will be given the gate code for access.

What kinds of dances can I learn with Dave?

Dave’s two favorite things to teach are West Coast Swing and wedding dances. He also teaches Salsa, Merengue, East Coast Swing, Nightclub 2-Step and Country 2-Step.

 

Do I need to bring music?

No. Dave has a huge music library and can get anything you need.

 

Do we need to have a wedding song picked out before we start lessons for our wedding dance?

No. It’s helpful, but Dave can help you find the perfect song that fits your personality and will be just right to dance to.

 

How come wedding dances are a little more expensive than just regular dance lessons?

Wedding dances usually involve choreography and extra planning outside your lessons, getting your music, planning your steps, writing extra notes on your dance and communicating with you to make sure you’re getting everything out need for a perfect dance.

 

How long is each lesson?

Each lesson is 50 minutes long

 

Can I schedule a dance lesson at my home or business?

Yes. As long as there is room and the ability to play music.

 

How much are at home dance lessons?

If you have room and prefer in-home lessons, the fee is $20 additional per lesson for lessons in Ashland, Talent, Phoenix, Jacksonville and Medford. The fee is $35 additional per lesson in Grants Pass.

 

Are DJ services available?

Yes! Dave has professional-quality sound systems and years of experience DJing weddings, parties and events.

 

Are MC services available?

Yes! Dave has years of experience DJing weddings, parties and events.

 

Can I rent a dance floor?
Yes! Dave has high-quality dance flooring available
